Here’s How to Spend a Day on West 3rd Street
LA’s best shopping and dining district is West 3rd Street, home to more than 50 locally-owned stores, restaurants and services. Located conveniently between The Beverly Center and The Grove, it’s the perfect street to spend your day on, whether you’re getting pampered at the salon, getting your #Brunch on, or scoring an amazing deal from a cool indie designer or favorite clothing brand.
As part of our Fall 2016 Campaign, we took our models to West 3rd, to photograph the perfect day on the street. Here are some of our favorite images and things to do (BTW: all of the clothing and accessories you see in the photos are available to shop on West 3rd!)
1. START YOUR DAY WITH A JUICE FLIGHT.
Get healthy and get happy with a signature juice flight from Juice Served Here (8366 West 3rd Street). It’s the perfect way to sample the store’s most popular juices, while also learning about the benefits of cold-pressed juice.
2. TAKE A STROLL THROUGH THE STREET.
Maybe you’ll try on some eyewear, from the big brands you love at Dan Deutsch Optical Outlook (8358 West 3rd Street), to new independent and local designers at Gogosha Optique (8238 West 3rd Street). Or maybe you’ll hunt for limited-edition vintage and street-style worthy denim at Lot, Stock and Barrel (8363 West 3rd Street).
3. SHOP FOR THE BEST ACCESSORIES, GIFTS & HOME DECOR.
Get some shopping in at PLASTICA (8405 West 3rd Street) – a boutique filled with unique items from around the world, as well as products by local designers, all hand-picked by owner Carla Denker. The store just celebrated 20 years in LA! We always leave with something in hand!
4. SPEND THE AFTERNOON AT THE POOL
Check into the Orlando Hotel (8384 West 3rd Street) and take advantage of their intimate and relaxing pool. Catch some rays or order a drink and bites from The Churchill next door while you relax.
5. TAKE A CUPCAKE BREAK AT MAGNOLIA BAKERY.
West 3rd Street is home to the world famous Magnolia Bakery! (8389 West 3rd Street) Indulge in their famous banana pudding, or treat yourself to a cupcake (or two)!
6. MAKE IT A DATE NIGHT.
West 3rd Street is known for its amazing brunch locations, but it’s also a great date night spot! From fine dining to casual eats, we’ve got something for every occasion and every budget. Craving homemade Italian and wine? Try Gusto (8432 West 3rd Street). Fresh seafood is served at Blue Plate Oysterette (8048 West 3rd Street) – try the lobster tacos! – or get some homemade cooking at Simplethings Sandwich & Pie Shop (8385 West 3rd Street).
7. STAY OUT AND SLEEP IN.
After dessert at Little Next Door (8142 West 3rd Street) or an authentic margarita at El Carmen (8138 West 3rd Street), retreat back to your cozy room at the Orlando Hotel and hit the sack in these cozy sleep-sets from Bedhead Pajamas (8336 West 3rd Street). You’ll need to rest up to do it all again tomorrow…
