But the latest arrival to the neighborhood does more than just sell and showcase good design — they also give back.
Meet The Cause Collection, whose mission it is to “fashion social change.” Their new retail space on West 3rd Street (in the former Social Butterflies space next to Indian restaurant, Electric Karma) showcases an elevated line of essentials in on-trend silhouettes that are responsibly manufactured. The Cause Collection contributes $10 from each sale to one of the three charities they are currently partnering with-including GLSEN, Healthy Housing Foundations and the ACLU. What’s the story behind The Cause Collection? What inspired you to start it?
As a response to the hate rhetoric and divisiveness I was witnessing, I created the company to help bring people together. The world doesn’t need another charity, we need to support the ones with boots on the ground doing important and effective work, helping those that have been marginalized and are underserved. iphone 7 case This is rooted in our DNA.
Who is your target customer?
We serve dynamic, stylish women that are on the move. She’s busy, discerning, cares about the causes we are collectively supporting and believes in using her purchasing power to make a difference where she can.

How do you decide what charities to partner with?

Why did you decide to open on West 3rd Street? What do you like about this neighborhood?
Our CEO, Jackie, and I did a lot of soul searching with this decision because it’s such a big step for a digital-first company!
